I spent the afternoon signing a few pieces from my From the Heart collection for a special Mother’s Day promotion. I always enjoy doing that sort of thing! First, it gives me a chance to see and handle and really get a feel for the product that’s on the shelf. I can get carried away in sketch art and sculpting and the like. It’s always good and a little bit grounding for me to have the finished pieces in my hand. And I really love the subtle coloration and detail of these designs, they turned out just right!
But more importantly, I like the signing aspect. It may sound corny but I take it very seriously. I want every signature to be perfect, an expression of the respect and gratitude I have for the people who share an enthusiasm for my work. It’s my connection to you, and it’s very important to me. Here’s a short video talking about the collection and signed pieces for Mother’s Day. And please don’t make fun of me but I made a mistake in it! That one design is called, “Sweetness Runs in the Family!” Not “Sweetness Lasts Forever.” I get confused sometimes! Please take a look anyway and let me know what you think.
