Inspiration Ideas

I get asked a lot about what inspires me and where I get my ideas. There's no single answer to that, my mind can be a pretty scattered place. But the truth is a lot of my ideas and most of my inspiration comes from conversations with you! Here's a video with more on that and maybe the start of a great conversation.

God Bless,

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. As the mom of a survivor, and someone who now has watched parent after parent lose a child to this monster, I’d love to see you do something special to honor the fighters, survivors, and those we’ve lost. Thanks!!

Hi Jim
I’m an avid collector of Donald Duck & I live in the UK. I would love to see more Donald to add to my collection. I have to wait a while for new editions to be released jere in the UK which makes me sad.
I love the girls night in with Daisy & Minnie. Maybe a boys night in with Donald & Mickey playing on their games console would be an idea. What do you think? x

Here is a idea for probably the White Woodland or Winter Wonderland Themes:

Figure of Santa in a long cream colored robe trimmed in white fur and a Santa type hood. An Eskimo child (boy or girl) at his side in the typical Eskimo garb. Maybe a polar bear or sled dog walking beside Santa on opposite side. Over everyone’s head some form of Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in an arch with possibly a lighted multi-color lights that actually lights up or maybe a wired stream for the effect. Santa could be holding a single star in one hand and pointing to the lights above. A snowy Christmas Tree behind the group. The lights could be also depicted on his robe somewhere. So, this theme could be interpreted as God’s natural gift to everyone.
Thank you for all your beautiful masterpieces. Just gazing on any of your figures, I can see how wonderful this world is. God Bless you and know that you really love your collectors and create them for us.

Howdy! Jim I love the folk art style. It inspires me so much in my work as an apprenticing woodcarver and painter! I love the intricate patterns and bright colors and yet the old world feel. Your work brings me so much joy and I would be curious see more of your process and how you come up with such beautiful ideas and how your folk art style has evolved over the years. God bless you and your family! – Abigail from Hendersonvillle North Carolina

I love the “Sanats around the world” collection. I would really like a Jamaican/Caribbean Santa. I imagine him with dreadlocks and a Rastafarian hat!
