It's A Small World Collection

I don’t really remember the first time I saw the It’s a Small World ride...or heard that song! Seems like I’ve been singing it all my life. I know the ride was developed for the 1964 New York World’s Fair, and opened up in Disneyland a couple of years later. Since then it’s delighted millions of Disney Theme Park guests from all over the world with its musical message of friendship and understanding. And while I don’t remember my own first encounter with It’s a Small World, I’ll never forget the first time I took my daughters, their wide-eyed looks of sheer joy and the pleading afterwards of, “Let’s do it again!” So for me this new It’s a Small World collection has been a real labor of love, a chance to relive some memories and make some new ones. And it’s not just about the designs. It’s about the music! That song! It brings a smile every time I hear it. I love the way we’ve been able to work it into the collection, the interaction between the pieces and base. Take a look at the video to see what I mean. And I dare you to not be humming that song for the rest of the day!

I am so glad you posted a video about these amazing figurines! You really have to see them in action to appreciate them fully. I ordered these as soon as I could and was so tickled when they arrived! I have also preordered your new summer releases of this collection….India is so darn adorable, Switzerland is so cute you just want to squeeze his chubby little cheeks and maybe learn to yodel and Italy makes you want to hop in a gondola! These are just so special and I can’t say enough about how beautiful they are. I am a little biased though as a HUGE fan of your Disney Traditions line. I also am hoping you will make a Canadian Mountie….for release with this collection! Thank you for making another gorgeous series of iconic Disney figurines! You make magic and bring joy what a gift indeed!

This new collection is just fabulous and even more special as its based on my favourite ride too ! When is this collection coming to the UK, Jim ? Not too long, I hope.
Loved meeting you in Disney Springs when we were over there in Nov/Dec last year, but sorry to see your shoulder is still troubling you. Hope it improves soon

I first saw this exhibit/ride at the New York World’s Fair! While we were in line to go on the ride, the ride broke down and we were “treated” to the song for well over an hour! It was a long time before I could stomach that melody again. However the ride remains one of my favorites to this day (and I can stand listening to the song again). I have ridden it many times at DisneyWorld and am now looking forward to the new Jim Shore collection!
