Jim's Secret Chili Recipe

There’s nothing like a hot bowl of chili. It’s a real family favorite, and almost as much fun to make as it is to eat. Here’s a short video of me in the kitchen making a batch from my secret recipe. Take a look and give it a try. I think you’ll like it! See Jim's recipe in Jim's Cafe

Thank you, Jim, for your special recipe of chili. Sounds and looks really delicious. I wrote down what you told us, but I didn’t hear you mention how much hamburger. From looking at your bowl of hamburger, I’m guessing at least 2 lbs., maybe 3 lbs. Since I like meat, I’m going to go with 2 1/2 – 3 lbs. Then you mentioned the red kidney beans [3 cans], stewed tomatoes [2 cans], and diced tomatoes [1 can]. Again, no mention of can sizes, so I guess we’ll go with the medium sized cans [14-20 oz.] and see how that tastes. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio, so know about the chili you described — with chocolate [and cinnamon]. My husband and I both come from German backgrounds, so we prefer your ingredients. We also add cooked spaghetti to the finished chili. Of course, shredded cheese on top and crackers make the eating experience more enjoyable. God bless and protect you and your family, and Merry Christmas!
