Tinker Bell

People often ask me who is my favorite Disney character. It’s not an easy question! I love the classics, Cinderella and Snow White and the like. But I also love the newer ones, Aladdin, Pocahontas and of course Belle. There’s a lot to chose from, each one different and interesting in their own way. But if I have to make a choice I’m going with Tinker Bell. She’s just so much fun, with a never-ending range of emotion, so she fits in almost any season or occasion. And she wears her heart on her sleeve! Here’s a short video talking about how I approach her character in my art. Take a look and let me know what you think.

God Bless,
Jim Shore

I met you in 2004 in Bay St. Louis, MS and purchased a beautiful Saint Francis Heartwood statue. In 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit and my home was consumed with 28’ of water. It wasn’t until 30 days later when we could get to our property. I found the statue under 6” of mud. I was so excited…took it home and gently washed it. Today someone just made a comment about how beautiful it was. It’s been 13 years and it looks like the day I purchased it. Just wanted to share this story with you…Your talent survived Katrina and lives on… Its a testament of your great work. Thank You!

I only collect Tinker Bell from Jim Shore. She is so beautiful! And is my favorite Disney character. I want more of them, and love to see that Jim Shore like Tink too ;)
I love the Halloween witch that you show on the video… I want now that cute witch.
Jim, please do more valentines day stuff and for sure more Tinker Bell for valentines day. I can see her with red hearts :)
Wish that one day Jim Shore do the other faeries. Rosetta, Iridessa, Silvermist, Fawn, Mary and all the other ones.
Thanks, Jim for your beautiful work.
